Alan Tsen – Short Blub
By day, Alan is the Director of Revenue Strategy at Chipper Cash. On nights and weekends, he's an investor in early-stage fintech startups and the author of the Fintech Radar Newsletter. He is the former chairperson of Fintech Australia and a former member of the Federal Government’s Fintech Advisory Group and ASIC’s Digital Finance Advisory Panel. Alan was the founding GM of Stone & Chalk, Melbourne and formerly an international tax lawyer a PwC.
Alan Tsen - Extended Bio
By day, Alan is the Director of Revenue Strategy at Chipper Cash. On nights and weekends, he's an investor in early-stage fintech startups and writes a fintech-focused newsletter, Fintech Radar.
He is the former founding GM of Stone & Chalk, Melbourne - an independent, not-for-profit fintech hub that fosters and accelerates the development of world-leading fintech start-ups.
He is the former chairperson of Fintech Australia, where he led numerous submissions to government departments on, amongst other issues, digital currency and blockchain tech - including the removal of 'double GST' from digital currency and amendments to KYC/AML laws designed to incorporate digital currency.
Alan is also a former member of the Federal Government’s Fintech Advisory Group, ASIC’s Digital Finance Advisory Panel and CPA's Digital Transformation Centre of Excellence.
Alan was the founding GM of Fintech Victoria, an organisation designed to help grow the Victorian fintech ecosystem by amplifying, growing and connecting the fintech community. In this role, he helped bring the Victorian Government's fintech strategy to life.
Before this, Alan was a professional services advisor. For several years, he worked as a lawyer for a top-tier accounting firm on complex international tax structuring and M&A matters.
Alan holds bachelor's degrees in Law and Commerce and a Master's degree in Commerce (Econ). He is also admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the state of Victoria.
